Sheetal Styles: Fusion Fashion House

By: Karen Birak

It may be difficult to stand out in Little India, Vancouver, but the selection at Sheetal Styles speaks for itself. Indian and fusion wear does not necessarily have to be mainstream in order to appeal to its fashion goers. Sheetal Rhandawa has introduced a uniqueness to ethnic apparel, where western influence injects into Indian design, all while keeping authenticity at the forefront. Many pieces at Sheetal Styles are a subtle alternative to typical Indian outfits, incorporating Asian concepts and various fabrics. Also exclusive to Sheetal’s selection, are fusion pieces such as skirts, tunics, stalls, bags, and shoes that fit in comfortably with your wardrobe.

Currently working towards her BBA, Sheetal was inspired to introduce her knack for fashion to the text book when she realized one of her dreams could begin to take shape. Sheetal wanted to create an image that embraces the elegance of Indian fashion, while relating to the taste of her market. Anything found in a magazine or even personal requests can be recreated with Sheetal’s fashion fairy dust, as she aims to go beyond expectations to ensure no fashion faux pas keeps you off your personal runway.
